Each of the Seminars is devoted to one of the Five Phases (Wuxing), using the energetics of Shaping the Mind Work (Xingyigong); offering a deepening experience of cultivation through natural movement, breath and awareness through the seasons.
We will explore the Embodied, Emotional, and Spiritual qualities associated with each phase as you gradually create a stronger physical and energetic foundation.
Metal corresponds to autumn and the art of release. It’s associated with the lungs and large intestine organs and meridians, which govern breath, openness, and elimination—both physically and emotionally.
This phase introduces us to refining that which we hold on to and how we might gently letting go of what no longer serves us. Through breath-focused energy work (qigong), joint release, and meditative movement, you’ll explore the power of simplicity, spaciousness, and boundaries of the vertical circle. This phase offers a chance to gain clarity, to cut through that which prevents us from connecting with a deeper sense of self value so that we can connect with a deeper sense of our true value and breathe more freely into who we can become.

Practices Include:
• Embodying the Tigers Head for inspiration, strength and endurance
• Breath and movement practices to open the chest, shoulders, and rib cage and help exhale and release and exploring the vertical circle of inner cultivation
• Xingyigong Metal form for courage, authenticity and clarity of purpose.
In this seminar we explore the quiet strength and current of Water, aligned with stillness, and the deep reserves of your being. Water governs the kidneys and bladder—organs linked to our anchoring in life our will as well as our potential for gentleness. Through gentle, attentive energy work, we learn to conserve energy, access out inner wisdom, and become friends with that which we do not know. trust This phase encourages flowing inner strength, deep rest, and endurance.
It’s an invitation to be gentle and powerful like water in all its different guises.
SHARINGS:
• Stillness, deep replenishment, and inner wisdom
• Kidney and bladder organs and meridians
• Emotion of gentleness arising from the spirit of our free and creative will.
• The structuring, and anchoring of our energetic being.
Practices Include:
• Movements inspired by the flow of rivers, the rising of geysers and falling of waterfalls.
• Water form of Xingyigong to regulate our kidneys and nourish the overall levels of our energy
• Introduction of Bear shoulders to access inner strength and endurance • Teaching around Water’s emotion of gentleness, and its spirit of will.
Wood, springtime, strong roots, and new beginnings. This phase introduces upright stable movement, clear vision, and the ability to meet obstacles with creativity and resourcefulness.
The attention will be on the liver and gallbladder organs and meridians, associated with life planning, kindness, and emotional and embodied flow and distribution.
Through movement and breathwork, we will explore how to transform any frustration into creative momentum and flexibility whilst rooting deeply in order to rise with knowing grace. This seminar invites you to enter into what’s next, with clarity and confidence.

• The role of tendons and rooted strength to facilitate healthy movement, vision, and flexibility

• The emotion of kindness, spirit of our Hun soul, and power of benevolence
Practices Include:
• Embodied rooting facilitate movement, growth and strength
• The importance of healthy joint mobilisation through the development of the dragons back • The Wood Form of Xingyigong.
Fire the epitome of Yang expression, and the unity of interrelationship. This phase is associated with the heart, small intestine, pericardium and triple heater organs and meridians. These help support ease, spaciousness and love and joy in our lives.
We will learn about both the explosive and calming aspects of the heart and cultivate our capacity for harmony (Dongzhing).
The heart phase brings our attention to the awareness of the interconnectedness of everything and everyone.
SHARINGS:
• Heart-centered energy, expression, and relational warmth

• Emotion of love, spirit of expansive consciousness.
Practices Include:
• Energy work for regulating and calming our Fire energy
• Embodying whole body consciousness through the Five Hearts • The Fire Form of Xingyigong and development of the monkey spirit.
Earth is the energy of change. It governs the transitions between all the phases.
Earth’s phase is centered on the spleen and stomach. These support digestion and transformation on both a physical and emotional level.
Through grounding energetic work we learn to cultivate the abilities to act with grace as and when necessary in a world of constant change. Earth’s ‘naturally just so’ wisdom helps remind us that life is about moving through change harmoniously.

• Emotion of contentment, and spirit of attention.
• Embracing the Tree Posture
Practices Include:
• Movement incorporating all five phases moving from centre
• Spleen and stomach the role of digesting in emotions and experiences
• Chicken aspect of physical movement • Earth Form of Xingyigong
